Chloe started her 18-month traineeship in August 2016 and was based at Natural England’s offices working on Ingleborough National Nature Reserve.
Her background is in nature conservation and research, having worked on several projects across the UK and in Southeast Asia. She graduated from University of Exeter in 2015 with a MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity with distinction.
She is a keen photographer and enjoys walking, cycling and climbing in the local countryside.
Chloe is now working at Malham Tarn with the National Trust as an ecologist.
Tom started his 18-month traineeship in environmental conservation and traditional rural management skills in August 2016. He worked under the management of the Yorkshire Dale National Park Authority (YDNPA) and his role was part funded through The Prince’s Countryside Fund. His role was based at Stonedyke’s Barn, Stainforth. Following school Tom gained experience working for his family business, followed by taking up a retail role with Next, where he stayed for 4 years. He is a keen walker with a love for the outdoors. Tom has now successfully gained emplyment with YDNPA as an Access Ranger.
