Young Rangers is for anyone aged 11 to 16 who loves the outdoors and is keen to do some hands-on practical conservation work. The group meets once a month to take part in practical work in and around the local area. Task days will start in or close to Settle. For tasks, further afield a minibus will be hired to pick up and return the group to Settle.
What type of work?
Activities include path repair, tree planting and vegetation control. Training in first aid and hill safety will also be available.
The group is run by experienced, qualified staff and volunteers from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
